Not even sure what to do? Will I be able to get back on the horse right away or will it take a lot of time?
I’m the person being referenced earlier in this thread, the same thing happened to me and it took 3-4 days and some small surgeries before I was back to normal but within a week everything was as good as new. I highly recommend taking as many IV antibiotics as they let you and make sure you get a combination of orals, ideally something like clindamycin and cephalexin. Also avoid heavy leg work until you’re done with the antibiotics they give you to ensure you don’t tear anything and have the infection spread. Good luck though man I hope everything turns out okay for you.
Did you stay on cycle? How long before you were able to train again? Was it painful to pack the wound with gauze and shower?
I stayed on cycle the whole time and even continued daily Tren Ace injections when I was in the hospital (once I had my own room). I trained everything except legs as normal as soon as I was discharged, although I did drop deadlifts from back day for a week just to ensure I wasn’t causing any damage from overworking my legs; I took a full 10-12 days off legs, basically the entire course of my antibiotics, and since then have been training them like I usually do. I maybe should’ve given my body some more time to rest rather than going straight to training everything else just for sake of speeding up the healing process and because the antibiotics definitely made me feel nauseous and more light-headed than usual while working out, but that was really only the first 2-3 days.

The pain was horrible before I was in the ER and also while in the ER before they gave me painkillers, afterwards I was prescribed painkillers as well but barely used them as the pain itself was fairly mild after, I think you’ll manage just fine even with gauze and showers it’ll just be a little uncomfortable at first.
Yeah they drained me yesterday and I’m already better at walking today. They wanna keep me one more day to observe but I think I’ll be out soon. Pain has reduced by a ton. Definitely avoiding pinning quads from now on. Sticking to glutes
Highly recommend delts as well unless you aren’t a fan of them, I just rotate delts and quads these days. I would definitely take a couple weeks off your quads though.

I’ve had really painful pins on quads before and they’re pretty inconsistent. Doctors here have pretty much all given me the advice of going into glutes
