Nodular acne

Has anyone ever had a pimple that never went away and turned hard? It’s been months and I’ve tried accutane and antibiotics already. It’s under the skin and googling says it’s a nodular acne and can be treated with a cortisone injection. Anyone know where to buy cortisone to inject?

Did you try lancing it with a needle yet? If you're pinning you should certainly have a sterile needle available you can jab through it. Put a hole in the thing and see if you can get anything out of it. Other option is to just order accutane, very easy to get thanks to our sources here and it clears up acne real well. Sides of the drug are overexaggerated.

I would caution doing this. I had an acne bump that wasn't going away last year and I tried doing this and it fucked it up even more. Had to go to the dermatologist to have him surgically operate on it. It wasn't going away on its own. Might be worth it to just go to the derm and get it over with now so you don't have to worry about it.

Yea I assumed I’d need to go to a derma to get it cut out. How much did it cost? I have health insurance but don’t want to get hit with an unexpected bill for thousands because US healthcare is so poor

There’s a chance it will go away on its own at some point but I know how annoying it can get. Mine was barely noticeable and didn’t hurt, but I knew it was there. The visit costed me $100-200 with my insurance. I recommend consulting your insurance company before visiting to understand the costs. US healthcare is not poor, the reality is that we have people that think all their shit should be “free” of charge.

Thanks for the info man. But have you seen a bill with breakdowns? For example, my annual preventive visit costs almost $800, then has a plan discount of $420, and then insurance paid $380, so my cost was $0. Imagine someone without insurance like a gig economy worker who doesn’t get benefits. They’d get charged the full $800 just for a simple checkup. I feel bad for those people who pay an arm and a leg for such small things.

I don't feel bad for "gig economy workers" or whatever you want to label people who aren't offered health benefits from their employer. Maybe they are self-employed. That's really their choice at the end of the day and they can decide to work for another employer that does offer health benefits if they so choose that route. These people can buy affordable health insurance and lots of them offer free routine checkups as a part of their plan.

I completely respect that way of thinking. All these mandatory ethics courses have slowly brainwashed me into the new societal ways of thinking
