Has your body dysmorphia gotten better or worse since hopping on? Or did you develop it after not initially having the issue?

My biggest problem is the discrepancy in photos/videos vs reality. I've gotten better with mirrors (adjusting the light bulbs in the bathroom helped a lot) but I still often see myself in a shot and think I look small, flat, bloated, etc or I'll see a picture/video of someone I know in person who is significantly smaller and not as lean as I am but camera quality/angle/lighting setups make them appear much larger and leaner in the shots. It's getting better for me for sure, this is a common issue for guys on cycle though and one we don't talk about enough. Fuck cameras lol. It doesn't help that the internet allows Joe Nobody from Buttfuck-Nowhere to shit talk online all day too; I have veins popping in my quads for fucks sake and still get the random anime profile pics and lardass motherfuckers saying I'm fat. I've posted numerous training videos working with a gym total just under 2K and still get called weak too lol. When I used to give in and fire back I'd get attacked for being mean to the actual fat and weak people though, and told I "forgot where I started" or "I'm punching down". 🤣

Definitely worse bro. I was 6ft 140 soaking wet in HS and early college. I now fill out a 3XL shirt (in a good way) weigh 265 with low ish bf.

People see my physique and comment through the 3XL and yet every time I look at my check in pictures or in the mirror, I’m a skinny bitch with no muscle who is also fat. I could probably be looking like Regan Grimes 300+ with abs and think the same shit.

I read some bro science that if you take a picture of yourself 10 feet away, then flip the photo horizontally, you'll truly see yourself as is, minus camera distortions.

Same with putting a mirror to the side of another mirror and looking at yourself in that mirror, of that other mirror. It overides the brain dysmorphia.

Go to work and spill something on your shirt in front of the female coworkers.

If none run over to help you, means you truly look like shit.

One comes over, means you look good.

If more than one comes over to help and tell you to take you shirt off, you're a fucking Greek God.

I'm not remotely close to your levels of physiques, but I use the meter above when I don't feel I look as good as I do.

Hope that helps.

About the same. Some days I have that god complex and just feel amazing 🤩
Then some days I just see every fucking flaw. Just really want my chest to start filling in. Im so damn shoulder and tricep dominate it sucks.
Normal people at work guys and girls always are like " holy shit your jacked you look Great" but I know compared to the monsters I see In the gym I'm lacking.
Then I remind myself I've only been back in the gym since August of 2023 so give it some time and slow my roll.

That's my problem. I compare myself to some other people I see around. As long as we don't give up. We can always find something to improve on.

i have made dramatic changes in my body composition and wouldn't say i have body dysmorphia. Although something that did happen was i became more aware of imperfections i did not pay attention to when i was natty. My hair line has been kind of trash since i was 20 but i never analyzed it or gave it any recognition. Now with warning signs etc yea my hair has gotten a bit worse with a year of test + blast but im hyper aware to the temple imperfection etc. This has also helped me up my appearance though jawline looks better ive dialed in my hair cut and beard length perfectly... I can meet new girls and talk about youtube self improvement beauty bullshit as a conversation starter now
