Anyone take or try "Intra-Carbs" or is it BS

Hey all,

Getting straight to the point here, is there any true benefit to Intra-Carb powders to throw in a drink and sip on throughout the lifting session? or is it all hype?

Talking about the HD Muscle intra carbs or like the seth feroce brand intra-carbs

I trained first thing in the morning (1hr after I wake up) and only eat a banana with pre, along with EAA’s to sip on throughout the workout. The workout is really 50 min to an hour long, supersets, sweaty, the whole shabang.

I have a friend that Hypes up taking ensure carbs throughout lifting session because he feels like he's “pumping the muscle up more with carbs”... ? I also know that he likes to take every single powder on the market so I can't really tell at this point lol.

My coach gives Karbolyn intra with BCAAs as well as my last coach did the same. Some pros also advocate it. Not sure if I've seen any difference per se.

I definitely noticed more energy sipping on intra carbs

IF you are thats where the biggest benefit comes from and you will notice it , if not I typically have enough carbs from the day before and I just sip eaa and electrolytes intra

I sip EAAs and SuperCarb intra, I love it. HBCD is way better on digestion than maltodextrin and other powdered carbs. Make sure u look for HBCD.

I find my stamina throughout the workout increases a bit compared to without it. But my best friend who is heavier/out of shape gets severe bloat and makes him very uncomfortable.

If you're using insulin or Superdrol for pre-workout, intra-carbs are good in that aspect. I just use simple glucose syrup from CVS in the diabetic section or the glucose tablets. For me, pre-workout with Anadrol gives stupid pumps but I bloat hard from all that sugar.👍

Intra-workout drinks are fancy koolaid bud. Want something with carbs to drink during your workout? Make a gallon of koolaid or similar flavored drink and pour a few cups of sugar in it. Add a tsp of salt as well since that ACTUALLY helps your body. Simple, cheap, effective, delicious. Personally just drink orange juice during workouts now or cranberry/cran-apple/etc juices. Tryhards will attempt to find fault in this but there's none.

I totally agree, I use the glucose products for diabetics due to being diabetic. 🤷‍♂️

I used Vitargo back in the day, the end result is I get a better workout without extra sugar unless I need it (hypo for some reason).

Why would you need intra carbs when running superdrol? Curious to hear your experience with superdrol.

Some compounds have a way of inducing hypoglycemia, superdrol is one of those. For a full list of ones that do this just pop "(Drug name) Hypoglycemia" into Google. Tren is the one that hits me the hardest, I personally do not get hypo on SD or anything else but this all varies by user of course.
