I’ve always been a fan of John meadows’ training philosophies, though I’ve rarely utilized them. So I’ve decided this off season to run one or two programs for a better understanding and figured it would be a good way to pay homage to the man himself.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any Takeaways from running said program?

Thanks

@Jay i have ran the gamma bomb, task master, and avalanche. I loved all three with gamma bomb probably being my favorite. Lots of good knowledge and great tips for each exercise. They’re like having a coach there with you in your workout telling you exactly how to do it and where you want your focus. They even have YouTube links for each exercise of each workout. I pretty much solely base my training off what I’ve learned from meadows

@DILDINATORvBoii thanks, yeah at quick glance on the program chart the gamma bomb looks like the best fit. I don’t have a dedicated training partner, I know he likes to do a lot of assisted sets. How does that fair in that program?

@Jay Creeping Death & CD II are both beloved by most of the guys I’ve spoken with. I’ve had a few also run Gamma Bomb and enjoy it a lot! Personally I’ve taken things from many of his plans, but never ran one single in particular.

@Jay I don’t really have a training partner either. There’s not as much partner assisted stuff in there, and if there is I just ask someone in my gym honestly. No different than asking for a spot in my opinion, or sometimes I just use bands to mimic the assisted help. Anymore, I don’t follow the programs to a T. I take his ideas, rep range, and exercise placement, and implement it to fit what works best for me
