What's the reason not to mix water and oil based compounds?

I know not to and hear about an increased risk of abcesses but due to what process exactly do these two result in problems?

Wouldn’t it just be a matter of separation, the water based would sink to the bottom of the vial and the oil floating on top. When you draw the mixed solutions, possibly making it harder to get the proper doses based on where the needle samples in the vial.

Also water based compounds need to be kept in the fridge once they have been reconstituted, there would be more concern for sterility as bacteria could more easily multiply due to lower viscosity providing easier motility.

Not that this is the “right” way to do things but I’ve read of people mixing B12 and aas in the same syringe with no ill effect. At first, the idea seems counter intuitive but I suppose there’s no real harm in doing it.

It’s just old broscience that has been repeated across internet forums over the years, most often from people who have zero experience with it.

It’s fine to inject oil and water based compounds in the same syringe. It won’t give you an abscess.

I was moreso thinking about inj. winstrol and other orals than hcg/gh etc, wasn’t aware the former would need to be cooled

Mixing the two in the same syringe won’t be an issue, the body will absorb them both the same once they’re in the muscle. Mixing them beforehand in a vial together would be a no go though, since like someone else pointed out, they’ll separate and it’s going to be next to impossible to accurately draw an accurate dose.

I’ve injected water based winstrol with test before. Never again. Call it broscience or whatever, but I had the most painful lump for over a week afterwords. No issues when I injected them separately. I think it has something to with the water based compound forming a bubble inside the oil based compound. This prevents it from getting absorbed for a longer time and the crystals just fall out of solution in your muscle.

So I’ll chime in with a personal experience. Mixed 1cc of water based test suspension and 1cc tren ace pre workout, it resembled a milky lava lamp in the barrel. The pain during the shot wasn’t as bad as test suspension on its own(resembles broken glass because of the crystals) but the PIP and inflammation for the next 7-10 days was outrageous. I couldn’t sit on my right cheek and it was a baseball sized lump that burned like none other. Split your oils and water based into separate muscle groups if you’re gonna take both, for the love of god haha. Also remember oil sits in the muscle a bit longer than water so don’t be shooting one thing one day and another the next into the same body part, make sure it’s got time to disperse. Just my two cents

The water can get trapped inside the oil. Obviously the oil will absorb slower so the crystals in the water based compound will just sit in your muscle causing inflammation and pain.
