Triptorelin Side Effects Post BnC!

I’ve been off gear for 8 months after a 2 year blast and cruise. Recovery was slow but I began to feel slightly better over time. Did a 3 month PCT, fast forward to 5 months off gear, I felt decent but still not like my normal self. Energy was around a 7/10, was working out consistently, just had low E2 sides like difficult sleeping, hot flashes, and some irritability.

This was in June: ( Pre gear testosterone was 576ng/dl )

To speed up my recovery and raise E2 levels I decided to take 100mcg of Triptorelin from a reputable source on here.

The triptorelin didn’t do anything for my testosterone but it did bring my E2 back up to my pre steroid levels:

However, ever since taking triptorelin I have been experiencing horrible side effects. Joint pain, immense fatigue, intense stomach pain, lack of bowel movement, pale stools, and nausea. I tried psyllium husk to no avail.

It’s been 12 weeks since the 100mcg and I still feel worse than before taking the triptorelin. I got tested for Hepatitis C which came back negative, an ultrasound for my liver, gallbladder, and kidneys, which all came back normal. Got stool tested for H. Pylori as well which came back negative. Today my doctor ordered bloodwork for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, amylase, lipase, LFTs, and CBC. I will update you guys when I receive the bloodwork.

Does anybody have an idea on what could be causing these symptoms? It didn’t start until after taking the triptorelin. My thyroid levels are fine. Obviously my liver enzymes are elevated but they were elevated before the triptorelin and I didn’t have these side effects.
Maybe I should test for other hormones such as DHEA, Pregnenolone, Progesterone, Prolactin, and DHT? Estrone, Estriol, shit idk. Please help guys, thanks in advance.

Have you taken trip before?
Triptorelin can chemically castrate you if you take too much. That’s a scary drug to mess with in my opinion, have you mentioned to your doctor or whatever that you took it?

Well it did the opposite actually. My sex drive has been super high since taking it. My Test and E2 aren’t crashed, it has to be something else. No I have not mentioned it to my doctor as I don’t want to run the risk of getting my insurance revoked.

Yeah I understand that but if it gets much worse I’d bring it up.

Not necessarily. And the “castration” isn’t even permanent. If you really read into it you’ll see that the drug has to be taken continuously for chemical castration to be maintained. I also believe the form used for castration has a different half life.

I’m curious What your pct protocol was for coming off, and how much size/strength you lost And how your sex drive was while recovering. I would consider talking to your doctor about AAS use if this doesn’t improve. Maybe there was some sort of heavy metal in the trip and you’re experiencing heavy metal toxicity? Just a random guess

  1. Pct protocol was hcg for a few weeks and 12.5 mg of clomid EOD for a few months. I responded very well to clomid (1160ng/dl) while on it.
  2. I didn’t lose any strength, just muscle glycogen
  3. Sex drive was high 95% of the time. I had a few days/weeks where my sex drive was low, but it’s good now.
I googled the symptoms of heavy metal toxicity and I do seem to have multiple symptoms related to it. Abdominal pain, fatigue, nausea, muscle weakness. I’ll add that to my blood panel tomorrow.

Wow it sounds like you recovered quite well. Would you possibly mind posting your Tutanota email so I could ask you some more direct questions about the whole process? I don’t think sst allows DMs. I can post mine if you don’t feel comfortable.

Also…are any of these common side effects of COVID? Seems silly to ask but given the times…

They seem to be, but not the stomach pain. I use proton mail. If you have a proton mail I can email you.

I had similar symptoms after stopping BnC. I am not a doctor but I’ve suffered from stomach issues for a while now. I think you just have gastritis. When I get flare ups, my stool turns clay color. Your hormone fluctuations are the most likely culprit. Relax, get a good probiotic and follow up with a gastro doc just to be safe. I’ve been there. You’ll be fine.

Update: Got more hormones checked here and pregnenolone seems to be on the low end. I don’t think low pregnenolone can cause immense stomach pain and chronic fatigue. I’ve also been experiencing itching and super hot red feet at night. If I push down I can see all the extra water they’re holding. Hepatitis A and B also came back negative.

As you guys can see, testosterone and estrogen are in range and back to how they were before I started taking gear. I’m starting to believe that my batch of triptorelin was contaminated with heavy metals. Doc referred me to a gi specialist but they don’t have anyone available for the next 3 months which fucking sucks. I’ve tried Tudca, nac, milk thistle, psyllium husk, liv 52, omeprazole, and betaine HCL to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions on my next step moving forward? Extremely frustrated at this point.

Not really sure but the hot feet, is it on the bottom? I get that sometimes when I lay in bed and bend my knee up. Think it has something to do with blood flow. Could be talking about different things though.

Yes it’s on the bottom. They used to be really swollen at night and first thing in the morning but the swelling has gone down a lot over these 14 weeks. Maybe is hormonal fluctuations. Still trying to piece things together.

Yea, I get that sometimes too like I said. Not sure if we’re experiencing the same thing but it sounds kind of like it. I think it has to do with blood flow to that area. If it just happens no matter what you do (change positions, move around, etc.) I would get that checked out because it sounds weird.

*Had to make a new account since I forgot the email to the other one

Updated bloodwork. I didn’t get the best sleep the night before so I will most likely get more bloods tomorrow or so.

At this point I’m leading to believe that the triptorelin caused some sort of androgen receptor down regulation.

I’ve gotten bloodwork several times throughout these last 4 months and they’ve all came back around natty levels and a few of them even higher.

At this point I’m considering jumping on TRT as its been damn near 4 months and I still feel worse than before taking the triptorelin.

Maybe it fucked up my adrenal glands? Idk man.

I got some heavy metal toxicity bloodwork done which came back normal. I hear that getting heavy metals tested through blood isn’t the most accurate so I will get urine next.

All help is highly appreciated.

@dianabolman No No No and No. Know what your saying first before responding. 100mcg of Triptorellin isnt castrating anyone! Jeez. 100 mg will maybe.

@flashpass123 Im not sure who your source was but give it some more time. Ive done a few rounds of Triptorellin and always bounce back eventually and im old(51). Honestly Ive done best with low low doses of clomid and nolv. e.g
Day 1: 10mg nolv
Day 2: 12.5 mg clomid
Day 3: nothing
Day 4: 10mg nolv
Day 5: 12.5 mg clomid
Day 6: nothing
Day 7: 10mg nolv
Day 8: 12.5 mg clomid
Day 9: .5 mg arimidex
Repeat above for min 4 weeks up to 8 weeks.

I raised my test from 400 to 645 my LH from 3 to 5.5. No joke.

@hougie So I took nolva last week Monday and had better digestion and felt better overall. Later that night I started having depression like symptoms so I lowered the dose. The next day I felt the same depression so I just dropped the nolva. This happened to me before when I tried using nolva during PCT earlier in the year.

Last Thursday I took Miralax and sucralfate which were recommended and prescribed by my doctor. I also took clomid.

The next day Friday, I woke up and took a HUGE DUMP, had really good digestion. I felt so good that I went on a date with my girl ( haven’t done that in awhile since I’ve been feeling like shit all the time after the triptorelin)), went back to her place, woke up the day after ( didn’t take anything that Friday ) and felt like shit again. So if I had better digestion and felt better after a dose of nolva, had better digestion and felt better after a dose of clomid, this leads me to believe that the serms are rebooting my hpta axis and fixing my digestion somehow???

I know that low E2 can be associated with slow digestion and gut motility, but my test and estrogen look good on paper so I wasn’t questioning that as a possible cause but now I am. Or maybe some other part of the hpta that triptorelin messed up is being restored??? IDK, just a speculation.

So I went back on the clomid and Miralax when I got home but I couldn’t didn’t get the feeling that I had on Friday unfortunately. I will continue to try the clomid and see if it helps improve my digestion / energy levels by rebooting what triptorelin may have stripped from me, I guess. Ughhh this shit sucks man.
