I think I would do If I were competing or something, but I have never thought of it as something that must be done for recreational goals because I’d always reach my goal natty and not. I did it through permanulking/overeating for four years as a natty, and I blew up, put like 140 lbs on each major lift in that time frame. (natty newb gains) I also gained fat but didn’t really care at the time, it’s long gone however, but I still don’t weigh my food years later and I’m in much better shape. If I want to increase muscle mass, I just eat big healthy nutrient dense meals and don’t skim on carbs. there’s not much else to worry about. If I want to get leaner I just keep the protein and minus some carbs and there we go. I’ve never been through a time where I didn’t make gains because my eating wasn’t on point. Heck, in the time i’ve been using gear, the main reasons i’ve had episodes where I didn’t grow as well as I should have where the times when I dried myself out with mast, or ai mishaps.
I’d imagine if I competed i’d weigh my food and track it, but since I don’t, I think at times that maybe I could be even better but would it be worth the trouble?
