I started HCG last week and everything was going well. This Sunday I woke up with high E2 sides and took 12.5mg of Aromasin. Monday woke up and still having high E2 sides so I take another 12.5mg of Aromasin. Tuesday(today) and I’m still having high E2 sides. I know my Aromasin isn’t bunk because I was using it successfully on my blast. Anyone need a ton of Aromasin when using HCG? Was doing 500iu EOD but this seems like it’s getting out of hand. If I stick with this dose I’m gonna need 25mg of aromasin ED which is insane. Anyone else aromatize alot from HCG?
How much HCG are you taking and for what purpose? HCG increases intratesticular testosterone, which is unaffected by AI, so will cause extreme aromatization for some people under some circumstances. If your goal is to maintain testicular function, try 150IU EOD and see if that helps. 250IU will produce excess aromatization/T levels in people with normal testicular function, and anything above that is even worse. Unless you are trying to PCT, you should never need more than 250IU EOD.
500 iu EOD. Taking it to get my juicy loads back. And wow, I didn’t even know that. Gonna give it a break for a few days and let it wash out then start back up at 150iu. Do you have a source on ITT being unaffected by AI? Or any reasoning behind it? This is the 2nd time I’ve read that, and it makes sense since the Aromasin is literally doing nothing for me.
Based on one of the two good studies I’ve seen on the dose-response curve of HCG in men, in most healthy males 250IU EOD will get you to above baseline test levels (~130% IIRC, but I may be a bit off), 125IU is ~75% of baseline, so the point of restoring normal function should be somewhere around 150-200IU EOD, which should be more than enough for your purposes. 500IU causes much higher levels of aromatization without increasing test levels much further.
Re: ITT/aromatase, it isn’t that AI doesn’t do ANYTHING (I just said it’s unaffected because that’s a lot shorter than explaining, and 95% true), it’s that aromatase levels are MUCH higher in the testes, and HCG stimulates production in the testes, so an AI dose that would be enough to suppress peripheral aromatase is not going to do as much in the testes. Add to this the facts that HCG stimulates the production of MORE aromatase in the testes, and that HCG at 250IU+ also produces test levels MUCH higher than natty in the testes, for a few hours at least (I can dig up some studies later if you want), and you can see why high doses of HCG can cause e2 issues. For a long time it was believed that peripheral aromatase was the primary way the testosterone was converted to e2 (which is how it works in women), but recent studies indicate that in men, intratesticular aromatase is the main mechanism (also probably why you can take a ton of letro as a guy and still have SOME e2, while in a woman e2 would be practically undetectable at the same dose). Interestingly, the reason the testes stop producing testosterone after HCG administration (i.e. the ‘pulse’ stops) is not because the HCG is broken down, but because the massive spike in e2 desensitizes the leydig cells… also why there is a secondary hormonal pulse 24-36 hours after the initial dose of HCG as that desensitization subsides.
