Only 10 days into 40mg Accutane and am seeing results. This is something I’ve wanted to take since I was a teenager (29 now) but dermatologists said my acne wasn’t bad enough to warrant the side effects. I have been prescribed different orals/topicals but they didn’t do shit. I’d say on my worst day acne is a 7/10. But at 29 I see absolutely no fucking point in having acne if there’s something I can take to get rid of it. So 10 days in here’s what I’m seeing:
-Irritated acne on back is “dried up” and no longer painful to touch
-Overall redness has gone down
-Face is peeling slightly/skin flaking
-Lips are dry/chapped almost to the point of cracking
-Skin surprisingly looks a lot better already
My plan is to run this course for 6 months. I will make updates to this post every few weeks for anyone who is interested. I’ve consistently had acne, especially on my back, since I was a teenager. I am hoping this finally gets rid of it! Thank you SoCo for the opportunity to improve my skin and well being!
