It’s a solvent residue with a carbonyl group […] I looked back through the synthesis methods for MK-677, and the only solvent used in the synth that has a carbonyl group is benzyl chloroformate. That step gives yields of about 80%. If they do not purify it before moving onto the next step in the synth, the benzyl chloroformate could be left in, that is nasty stuff, and very toxic. […] They just do not seem to give a shit, because MK-677 is in such high demand. They know if I reject it, someone else will buy it. I’ve even had people PMing me asking if they could buy the impure stuff from me at a discounted price. It’s insanity. These impurities are no joke. This shit is dangerous, and someone is going to get hurt soon. Look at /u/metoo79. He’s already been to the hospital because of another vendor’s MK… The labs straight up told me that the vacuum evaporation step needs 4 days, but they have been doing it in 2 days to speed it up. No amount of yelling from me seems to get it through their heads that them doing that is fucking idiotic and dangerous. I even paid one of the labs 30% more, to ensure they did it right. They STILL fucked it up. It’s like yelling at a brick wall. As long as most of the other vendors keep accepting these shitty batches, and not calling them out on it, they will keep doing it. The demand far outstrips supply right now.
There are only two labs making MK-677 right now, and I have ordered from both. Both are putting out impure shit.”
