That’s from a compounding company which is going to put a 28-31 day “expiration date” on everything that they sell. It’s a liability game on their part. Even at 5% degradation per year and for the sake of simple math, a vial of Test 250mg will still have 225mg of hormone at year two. At three years, 214mg. Cruising at 100mg a week, you’d need .4mL during year one, .44mL during year two, and .46mL during year three. It’s negligible and you’re splitting hairs. You’re more likely to draw too much/little oil and over/under dose each week than notice the effects of the oil slightly degrading.
@“mdwilson2011” - Most here will agree that two years seems to be the “Golden Rule” for “best if used by” dates for oils and orals. How they’re stored will have a greater impact than how long they are stored. I know a couple of guys on here have root cellars and store their gear in them. You have a consistent temperature year round and lack of direct sunlight which are your two big factors to deal with.
Personally, I keep all of my stuff in a hard shell case made for essential oils and store it in my medicine cabinet. Most of my gear is 6-12 months old. Never noticed a fluctuation in blood work from using older oils.
My opinion, buy however many vials you want man. Personally, I keep 5-8 on hand just in case I drop one or a buddy needs to bum one.
