Labs md

I usually use the hormone panel for females on private md labs. I noticed their price went way up And they suggested labsmd instead… I clicked on the link to get me the same test I usually take on privatemdlabs, but it linked me to "hormone panels (male only). Does this look like the proper test if I’m mainly trying to see if my estrogen is in acheck and to verify if I’m on the proper cruise dose? Thank you so much for any input.

Nah that’s not the test you want, it uses immunoassay testing for both total testosterone and estradiol.

You’ll want a panel that includes LC/MS/MS versions for both of those tests. Here are a couple of good options:

“Hormone Panel with Estradiol Ultrasensitive, Testosterone LC/MS-MS and Lipid”

“Hormone Panel with Estradiol Ultrasensitive and Testosterone LC/MS/MS”

Just checked on this. That price jump super sucks. Hopefully labcorp gets their head out of their ass when no one is buying their testing. It does not cost that much to run an assay on some blood and even the phlebotomist is paid under $20 an hour…

Off to Quest I go

Damn, I’ve always gotten the cheaper ones. I’ve never seen it recommended on here to try these tests instead… I do see how how on the privatemdlabs site that it says if you are taking synthetic steroids it could alter the testosterone levels… Is it a significant amount difference that it is worth paying the extra money for? Also thanks for your input.

I learned to avoid LabCorp anyway. Private MD LAbs was always cheaper, and you could always find a coupon for 15% off. However, I’ve had too many issues with LabCorp cocking things up, like losing samples. I’ve not had the same issues with Quest. Does the price increase put it on par with Labs MD?

The price of LC/MS testing is always justified if you ask me. It’s significantly more accurate than immunoassay testing, and I don’t see much value in getting blood tests that aren’t as accurate as possible.

sounds good, ill give it a go… thanks for taking the time to teach me something new. I agree, it is worth the extra money if it is going to be significantly more accurate. I appreciate the response!
