Why do so many people think that signing for a steroid order would somehow make them more guilty/easier to convict? I mean, I know 99+% of users never get tagged for a bust anyway. But if your LEO decided to do a controlled delivery, do you really think signing for it will be a determining factor?

I promise you it will not. We all sign for packages all the damn time, without knowing wtf is in the box. Either you ordered steroids or you didn’t. The signature has nothing to do with it.

Signing for it wouldn’t make your odds of denial go down.

And honestly, the way most of you guys look, do you really think anyone is going to be believe you just coincidentally got a steroid shipment? Out of the whole apartment building full of women, elderly people, and regular dudes, it just happens to be the swollest mother fucker on the whole damn block who “accidentally” gets a box full of tren? Yeah, no.

I hate signing for stuff too, but only because I’m never home and have to go to the PO every damn. It’s inconvenient but not a legal risk.

I partly agree, if I had to sign for a package I was not expecting to then I would leave it in my house for the day unopened then if the off chance police come looking for it I I can join say I signed and haven’t even opened it. Either way if the cops want you you’re probably fucked so.

A package signed for is confirmed as delivered. One without a signature is not even confirmed as delivered. For me, I just hate signing and despite what you claim, I do not sign for packages all the damn time without knowing what’s in the box. you are speaking for yourself there, not me. And you can’t promise anybody anything about a completely hypothetical legal case that hasn’t happened yet, not sure why you are making such claims and promises.

If you sign for something you better be sure you got a clear house because they’re coming in with probable cause.

This is why I hate signing for stuff. I have a full-time day job right now, and would never be home to sign for a package. If they require a signature, I have to drive to the Post Office, which is ~30 mins away, and stand in line for ~1 hour to get my package. I would rather them be able to just leave it.

The only time I’ve signed for something without knowing what was in the box was when I sat near by bosses office and he got a package when not there. If it’s coming to my house, I know what’s in it.

Where Im from, in the past people have gotten away with multiple DWI’s by refusing the field tests and other tests required. Along with finding some sort of technicality over why they got pulled over to begin with. They could of been obviously drunk as fuck but with lack of evidence it doesnt matter in court of law. The court systems are really fucked up imo but thats one advantage we have I guess depending on what end of the stick you’re on. Just one less piece of evidence against you man.

^^ This. But if they do a controlled delivery they’ve probably already got the warrant to look the place over, anyways. I was actually just thinking the other night about where or how the fuck I would hide my shit if I thought there would be reason to search my house.

I’ve signed for packs before and I’ve had packs that didn’t require signature.

Controlled Deliveries have also been performed WITHOUT requiring a signature on them, a signature is just the nail in the coffin in some jurisdictions, they also use such methods such as electronic devices that emit a radio frequency when the package is opened, GPS trackers, good on reverse knock n talk, etc

having a signature from you is just one more piece of ammo they can use against you in a case. Of course a signature alone isnt a death sentence but when fighting a legal battle in the US you want to leave as many holes as possible in the case for your lawyer to work with.

It is. They can literally just leave it in your mailbox and it counts as delivered.

Have you ever received a court summons, jury duty, or other legal document in the mail? It is considered to be in your possession from the moment it is left in your mailbox. If you were away on vacation or in the hospital it doesn’t matter. It’s not based on you opening it.

In order to do a controlled delivery, they will always have a warrant. Always. So even if you refuse to sign and reject the package, you’d better have a 100% clean house.

Controlled deliveries are not really the common way to handle drug busts. What they usually do is obtain a warrant, let the delivery go as normal, and come to your house later that day or the next day with a warrant. They don’t arrest at the time of delivery.

Controlled deliveries are really not the norm. I have seen plenty of stories of “My weed came in the mail that morning, and later that night I had a s.w.a.t team bursting into my house”.

Makes me wonder why Gumball shut down…

I ordered twice near the end of last year from him.

BOTH packages came pre-opened and on a fucking Sunday. A SUNDAY! USPS doesn’t deliver on a Sunday. I’ve been afraid to order since then.

One of my packages (the second one I ordered a month later) even got left at my mom’s house! The mailman knows me, sure… but I have no idea why he left it there… on a fucking Sunday! I was scared shitless. I live close to her, but not close enough that it was an accident by any means. There are a few houses in between us and I can’t see her house from mine.

That was the first time in 6 years that I had ordered gear online.

They do in certain areas for express mail, but not priority.

Yeah, that’s pretty weird. I’d be worried too. I’d be using a P.O. Box with a different distribution hub from that point forward.

Lol you guys are one paranoid bunch. Half of your scenarios here would be nothing but entrapment, which would nullify anything they find after the fact.

Read some case law. Controlled deliveries can happen. If you sign or not you could potentially be convicted. It’s state by state depending on their law. The government essentially has to prove you knew what was in the package. I think it is stupid and that it is impossible to prove you knew what was in a package being delivered until you open it, but they can get other evidence with a warrant as well to prove it. There have been convictions solely on the fact that someone accepted a delivery. I cant remember the state or exact facts, but there is a case with a controlled delivery of a very large shipment of heroin from somewhere like India.

Although, I would not be too worried. Usually, this would only be done with schedule 1 type narcotics, and even then typically only when there is a high volume. Law enforcement is limited, especially in large cities. I don’t think their biggest concern is people ordering hormones. Also, everything is about money. If you are moving large quantities and making money, then chances are you will raise some eyebrows. If you are only ordering enough for personal consumption you are not worth the time or effort.

Ok, ok, that’s good to know about Sunday deliveries. I’m not sure what kind of shipping it was (I still have the box, though, I can look). It had me quite worried lol. I don’t recall ever receiving a package from USPS on a Sunday, but then again, I don’t use USPS that much. It was strange that it got left at my mom’s house, too. It definitely made me paranoid. Someone had wrote my mailbox number on the box with a permanent marker, then marked a line through it and wrote her mailbox number on it. I still just think something was up with that and has something to do with whatever was going on for him to “close shop”.

EDIT: I know… I know… but like I said, paranoid.

nigga you’re “paranoid” but you kept the box you received illegal drugs in that made you suspicious?

That is some of the most logically retarded shit bro, toss it if you’re telling the truth and actually worried.
