Hello all,

I am from Idaho Falls and obviously new to this site. I am an older male, 60 to be exact, however have worked out for quite awhile. At my age gaining muscle mass is quite difficult. So I am ready to take the plunge into steroid use. I would appreciate any help on types and dosages.

Thank you in advance.

Are you currently on TRT or know what your levels are naturally? I would assume if your 60 you are would probably be on the lower end of range without any help.

As we get older I think mitigation of
nasty side effects is important. Since you said you’re not on anything currently if it were me I would start with a dose of 250 mg testosterone cyp per week. Microdosing at 15 units a day would vice you about 1 ml per week which is best for stable blood levels. However if you are not up to microdosing with an insulin needle daily you can do 2 injections per week at .5 ML with a regular 25-27g 3cc syringe.

I myself wouldn’t try to do anything off the wall for your first cycle. I think 250 mg will give you a great boost especially at 60 compared to what I’m assuming your levels are at now.

That’s just my .02 other will probably recommend more.

I should have included that. Yes, I am currently getting 200 mg a week of testosterone, via an injection. This is prescribed by my primary doctor. I've been doing this for about 1 year now. I guess I am getting a little impatient. I've been working out, off and on, since I was 15 yrs old. Just wouldn't mind a few more solid pounds of muscle, whilst I can still enjoy my life.

Would you suggest Deca? If so, how much and how often? The new steroids Im not familiar with. Back in the 70's/80's it was DecaDurabolin, WInstrol, and Anavar. I know nothing about any of them; wether injection or oral is better, etc.

other than TRT, have you ever used steroids before? What is your history? Forget microdosing. If using Test E or Test C, 3 times a week week keep levels fairly steady.

No, I have never used steroids before. I am not sure of the difference between "E" and "C." I have a lot of learning to do. In so far as 3 times a week, are we talking 200 mg (or more) 3 times a week, or just dividing up the dosage? By my history, could you be more specific? I can say I am 5'11", I weigh 195-200 lbs, I am not ripped, nor am I fat either. I have been weight training off and on since the age of 15, when the only supplements you could get were soy protein (nasty shit). I use creatine/BCAA's and multi vitamins. I do supplement my diet with protein drinks, usually whey, however at night I will use casein protein. I also use protein bars (Quest and MetRX are my favorites). As I said, my main goal is gain muscle mass and drop a few pounds of fat, without sacrificing said mass.

I workout on a 6 day a week, split program, hitting each muscle group twice a week. Except calves and abs; they get done 4 days a week. I do workout quite intensely, using triple drops, forced reps, etc. I know, apparently these things are "old fashioned." Yet it works for me. I am retired, so I have lots of time to devout to my training. I also do water aerobics at night (I workout in the morning). I have some prior injuries/surgeries which preclude me from heavy aerobics. So in the water works well for me.

Again, thank you for your replies. My biggest questions would be: What type of steroids and how much and how often? Injectable or oral? However, I realize I will need to do a lot more research also.

Steroids can have different ester. Esters determine how fast the drug is released. Test esnathate and test cypionate are 2 esters of test that are really close in how fast they release. How fast drugs release relates to how stable your hormones are and how often you should inject. By history I mean history of steroid use. Do some research about steroids and come back to me and I will tell you my thoughts on what steroids you think would be appropriate.

I really like Anavar aka Oxandrolone, off my research 5-10mg pre workout is very sustainable long term.

The higher you go the more often it would be advised to cycle off.

Probably the safest oral steroid you can take and still get good results.

On injectables outside of Test Cypionate or Enanthate, Primo seems to be one of the better choices in regards to health. It is also one of the more expensive.

You may never need to add anything outside of Test though, depending on how much you plan to run per week and how you respond.
