Hey there. As the thread title states, I’ve had this account here for quite some time. Mainly just fascinated in the science behind PEDS, training protocols, and anti-aging.

I’m a fairly young (mid 20s) life long athlete, particularly skateboarding, wrestling and baseball. Grew up surrounded by martial arts as well. Skateboarding and wrestling did a pretty serious number on my body from a young age and by the time I was 16 I had torn my ACL(skateboarding), dislocated my hip a few times (wrestling), had a pretty gnarly head and neck injury where I luckily didn’t break my neck but did suffer some minor brain damage, causing my testosterone levels to tank to the 300s when I was just about to turn 22. Having to stop those sports and adapt to a new life really took my physical and mental health for a wild ride.

However since I was 18, I’ve spent a good portion of my time in the gym particularly developing strength to avoid even more injuries, and working out my mind studying anti-aging and the key factor hormones play in general health. So far it has been a welcomed change instead of the smoking pot, eating shrooms and battling the concrete jumping down stairs on wheels like all my friends from back then still do.

It took me a long time to get over the fact I wouldn’t progress in my favorite sports anymore and have become quite obsessed with maintaining the ability to be strong, yet functional. I’ve recently gotten back into jiu jitsu, and as much as I’d like to watch my PRs increase and bully weights, I would rather be relatively injury free from now on and just enjoy life and training.

Since I was 22, endos have been suggesting some form of TRT for how low my levels are and I spent about 2 years trying to fix it with other things. Looking back it was pretty naive of me to think I could naturally combat a 300 test level that’s 95% caused by a head injury and obviously never got me to a healthy range. The best I’ve ever saw it rise to was 415. About a year ago I decided to start TRT and have stuck to my 125mg a week protocol. I feel pretty good most days now and my brain fog is pretty null. It’s almost like I forget I ever had the head injury in the first place and my happiness is much higher. I’m a pretty rare case and a lot of people ask me questions at the gym because I’m not your typical 200+lb dude at 6’3 wanting to be the next CBum. I’m just a 5’5 180lb guy that loves to train and is looking more into anti-aging and longevity.

Hope this was a solid intro and even if I’m quiet here most of the time, atleast there’s some sort of background for people to have for when I conversate with you guys! Thanks!
