General labor

So I recently got a job at a warehouse where I’m walking constantly and handling heavy packages. How do you guys manage a physically demanding job on top of training?

Listen to your body. Even with AAS, there is just so much stress our body can handle. Workout as much as you still feel you can recover from and don’t feel completely fucked at work. Eat plenty. Sleep plenty.

Force yourself to maintain as much of your normal routine as you can. At least hit the same sets and reps even if you need to reduce the weight but ideally this is when you need to nut up and decide how badly you want this. Push through it and in two weeks you’ll likely not be feeling taxed from the job anymore and workouts will be back to normal without having to force it. Not sure what else to really tell you, sometimes this shit gets difficult.

You’ll get used to it in a matter of weeks. I used to work landscaping shoveling & slinging a weed eater in 90-100 degree southern summer days while working out. I wasn’t some big burly dude either, more like 120lb soaking wet in high school, the only way I got through it & lifting was by sheer will. My mom did a great job of teaching me that sometimes there’s no trick or way around it, you just gotta put your head down & grind harder than anyone else is willing to. t’s crazy what your body can get used to. Get it man, after all that manual labor & gym you’ll be able to eat so much more and stay lean!

Eat more food to compensate. I get ~20,000k steps a day because of my job and it’s really nice maintaining at about 4000 calories. It makes cutting a breeze and bulking is not really that feasible without hyper-palatable junk food and/or fatty cuts of meat and extra pats of butter(I am fine with this arrangement, btw). Macros and micros also become less relevant (you’re getting everything you need at 4k+ provided you’re eating adequate fruits and vegetables and prioritizing meat/yogurt/milk will generally get you where you need to be with proteins and fat.)

All of this is to say, you become the teenager with “the crazy metabolism” which really just means “You are very active.”

Arnold was building cement walls while he was working out when he first came to this country, just live a clean life and eat/sleep enough with no other distractions.

  • I’d say a high dose of caffeine would come in handy for this. I haven’t used nootropics, but they may be useful as well. Lower significantly on days you don’t need as much . Coffee(2-3 cups and honey) pre workout . Depends if dieting. If you have to do cardio , as well, split caffeine dose
  • L carnitine 1 gram pre workout , as well
  • Lower workout volume AKA sets , but increase your intensity. Or, up volume and sacrifice intensity. Can also dedicate days to upping both volume and intensity. such as days off from your job
  • May not be able to eat a low carb diet doing this
  • Maybe base esters could help on days you REALLY need them . Tren base would be something I’d use
  • Drink 1-2 scoops of a bcaa/eaa blend
  • On rest days , try to relax as much as possible
