Has anyone received a false positive from donating blood? I’ve been donating and received a false positive for Hep C and Hep B. I was thinking maybe they saw hepatic issues from the winstrol and Anavar I was taking when I donated???

Detection of a virus would not have anything do with gear. I’d have them retest or go see your dr immediately

Go get tested. Never heard of false positives for Hep from donating blood.

It was a blood donation. The letter states that the initial test result was positive for Hep B and C. But upon two further and more extensive tests the results are came back negative. They did a RDNA or something similar test and found no trace of hepatitis. But researching reasons for a false positive I’ve read that stress on the liver or leached liver enzymes and make a false reading. And I was taking 75mg anavar and 50mg of winstrol ED. I’ve donated blood two months before but was not on orals and my blood work was fine. Just a possibility

I have experienced something similar. I got a nondeterminate for HIV before. They told me that meant it couldn’t be ruled out, so a bad test. It scared me enough that I went and got an actual test for that elsewhere. Happy to say it was negative. Man, if I were you I would go get tested for HEP. Better to know for sure, than not know
