Extended Injury

Hey dudes. Haven’t been active in the forums in a while but figured I’d hop in and pick yalls brains.

Recently fucked up my back squatting. Massive L4 L5 herniated disc CRUSHING those nerves. Insane pain. Tried conservative treatment and PT and didn’t help. So in two days I’m having a discectomy.

I’m going to be barred from the gym for 3 months which is going to absolutely kill me. I’ve been BnC for over 7 years and the longest I’ve missed the gym consecutively was like maybe a week in that period.

Trying to decide what to do to conserve as much muscle as I can while I’m out. I have pretty much every substance known to man. I just don’t know what protocols are out there for injuries. Drop to a cruise the whole time? Tren or anavar to maintain? HGH? BPC? List goes on. I’ve taken every substance you can think of and have most on hand. Just don’t know what to do to salvage what I’ve worked so hard for while I’m out for 12 weeks.

TIA, Hawk

@Hawk75 Hey man, I wish you the best with the surgery… that sucks to hear that happened but you are going to be turning a new leaf so to speak. 12 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I took that amount of time off (or more) off from exercise completely during the start of COVID and now I’m back better than ever… At the start it kind of sucked getting back into it, but honestly after a week or two it was back to business. You’ll be fine man. I can’t speak on what the best compounds are for maintaining muscle, but I can speculate a moderate dosage of HGH would definitely help. BPC might help with healing… MAYBE, but who knows. You have to inject BPC really close to the point of injury for it to have much of benefit anyways I believe.

If I were you, I’d just stick to cruising and HGH in the mean time. Once you’re cleared for the gym maybe ease into a little blast. Just be careful bro. Good luck.

Unless you’re way up on the scale of development, I don’t think you’ll need as much as you think. If I were in your position I’d do something like 250mg-ish of test, or a replacement dose of test plus anadrol (there are studies showing tolerance at higher doses we use for significantly longer than we usually run it), or at most replacement test and 200ish of tren but honestly I don’t think that’s necessary. Worst case scenario is you lost a bit of strength/muscle that rebounds quickly upon resuming lifting.

@MikeAlstott thanks brother. Your story about taking some time off and coming back stronger than ever makes me feel so much better. I think I’m just going to stick to my cruise dose and focus on recovery. I’m used to burning so many more calories per day - time to go back to eating like a normal human haha. Thanks again man.

@effswithtren thanks brother. That seems to be the consensus. Currently just cruising on 200 mg/wk. I’m just going to stick to that and focus on recovery. Time to plan an epic blast for once I’m cleared tho haha. Thanks again man.
