I would consider exhausting all other options prior to accutane. I personally NEEDED accutane due to the severity of my acne. However, if you only have 5 pimples at the moment, I would try more basic methods before pulling the trigger. Basic cleaning with a back brush.... making sure showers are taken immediately after training, changing sheets regularly or wearing a tshirt to bed each night so that the oil isn't lingering in the linen can all work great. Also, consider megadosing vitamin b5, this can give an accutane like effect without heading down such a heavy route.
But in the end, if the acne is that severe, sometimes all we have on our side is accutane and it does work amazing.
