Being on a high protein diet I’ve delt with some bloat and gas. I’ve heard some people supplement gelatin or psyllium husk for digestion issues . I’m wondering what y’alls experiences are with this issue

My 700 Cal meal replacement shakes used to give me gas pretty bad until I started adding psyllium husk.

gelatin has done wonders for my digestion. Used to have problems popping, but now I never get them anymore.

Also started the carnivore diet and consuming gelatin daily is recommended so that was something interesting to learn.

I do 10 grams of gelatin for every 100 grams of protein (that comes from animals).

Protein or Broad Spectrum digestive enzymes made a huge difference for me. NOW brand Super Enzymes are my preferred but there are many high quality manufacturers.

If it’s bloating from high protein, I’d look into betaine HCL with pepsin.

I will say after reading this thread I added psyllium husk back into my diet and it seriously helps the exit process. Nothing like a satisfying dump.
