Hey guys,
I have this situation where the fault is entirely on me but the response is so weird that I need other opinions.
Basically I ordered some test from a supplier on this site. I’ve been going to him consistently for a few years now, so when I checked out, I hit auto fill and sent the payment.
Turns out that the autofill didn’t correctly fill all the areas of the address, so my package never came. Dumb mistake, I know, but I’ve done it so many times I didn’t think to double check.
I reached out to the supplier to let him know of my mistake, and he confirmed the package got kicked back. However, instead of offering to ship it back out to the corrected address, he offered me a discount on a repeat order.
I understand the mistake lies solely on me, but he didn’t lose money and I already paid for the gear? I’m willing to pay for the cost of shipping again, but to purchase the entire order completely?
Does this make sense to you guys? I’m genuinely scratching my head over this trying to see if I should just chalk it up to a learning point, or to see if I can talk some sense into this guy.
