Controversial Question - My wife and I have a 12 yr. old boy and there is nothing wrong with him. He really wants to be tall both for athletics and general anesthetics. Selfishly, as a parent, my wife and I would like to see him/help him grow to his genetic potential. I am 6 ft tall, but my wife is barely 5 ft. My wife's entire family is short, and I am the tallest that I know of in our family's' last 3 generations.

From almost everything i have read, hgh is generally considered safe for children if taken responsibly. Side effects were similar to that of any other otc medication. I understand this type of intervention for "normal sized" kids is more common for more affluent families. With that said, I have ordered hgh for me through these sites (that show their testing) with good results. However, I also understand this is different for kids.

I would love to get some feedback...even if it is negative.... but please no personal insults (not constructive). Has anyone ever considered this for their kids or would you consider if you had kids? How would you start a program for your kid (other than 'see a doctor'). I performed a search to see if this topic has been brought up before on SST but did not see anything.

Thanks in advance.

i would not play around with children and self administer. It is a common practice, but under the supervision of a professional. They will do it you ,may just need to speak to a few because it isn't "necessary"

I did a quick Google search. All I could find were hospitals specializing in gh deficiencies in children. Just like there's doctors out there that went nuts with pain clinics, now trt clinic doctors prescribing above trt doses, I'm not sure if there's doctors out there willing to prescribe gh to a normal kid. I wouldn't risk it if I had a medical license. A judge will look at a doctor prescribing gh to a jacked up adult differently than if it was prescribed to a normal kid.
