I started working with Armani early last December when my primary source went on vacay. I figure it’s safe to assume that most of us will put familiarity and consistency of service above all when it comes to procuring goods in the same way you would apply such logic to myriad other lifestyle needs: barbers, massage therapists, slam-pieces… There is just a certain level of comfort in knowing that you’ll get exactly what you asked for, each and every time - “satisfaction guaranteed”, as they say. It’s always a bit daunting to try out someone new, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had to peruse our blessed forum for some strange [new source] while my main is unavailable.
Inb4 the TL;DR below, my official rank for Armani AAS is: 10/10, A+, or “top-tits” by whatever metric you prefer.
The interactions facilitated by way of this forum are all Standard. Retail. Operations: Supplier has wares - Consumer has coin - Supplier accepts Consumer’s coin - Consumer receives Supplier’s wares - Das it mane. I know this, because I’ve worked in retail for as long as I’ve been legally-employable. I’ve been in it so damn long, and got so damn good at it that I managed to break out of the store-level dredgery and into the executive ranks of the hierarchy (the joke here is that I’m still in retail, and it’s still shitty, ass-sucking retail, regardless of where you are on teh totem pole). Anyway, my time and experience have forced me to develop a set of criteria I use to determine whether or not I will patronize a business - As a result, I’m a bit (a lot) more discerning than the average consumer. Sure, I’m here for a product, and I have seemingly endless options to choose from to get said product, but with how wonderfully competitive the pricing in this niche has become, I’m able to look beyond pricing and focus on intrinsic factors that quantify how much a particular supplier actually wants to earn my business and fulfill, if not exceed my expectations.
As you can probably tell, I’m verbose to a fault, and that verbosity REALLY shines through when I’m given a text-based medium to express myself through, unrestricted. So, I made contact with Armani via PGP mail; a brief (read: excessive) intro/hello, and a handful of questions. I expected a reply maybe later that evening or tomorrow - HOMEBOY REPLIED IN 4 MINUTES. I even checked the timestamps on Protonmail to confirm… This has to be a record! A few more inquiries later, we’re finalizing deets, I’m getting ready to pay, and I end up ghosting the email for a hot minute like a CHUD. 24 hours later, we pick up where I left off, payment submitted, gratitudes exchanged, and like the true God-King he is, HOMEBOY PROVIDED TRACKING INFO THAT I DIDN’T EVEN ASK FOR. I’ve got informed delivery like a good boy, so it’s no sweat either way, but damn it… This is the type of good-samaritanism that really tickles my Jimmies - THIS is how you EARN business. Delivery ETA: 3-4 days (Shipped Sat, arrived Tues)
Fast forward less than a week later, Armani has a sale on. I inquire about the details as one of the items I wanted wasn’t “technically” part of the promo, BUT HOMEBOY MADE AN EXCEPTION FOR ME. I’m elated… Armani doesn’t know me from Adam, and I’m only 1 measly order deep with these guys, but yet again - EXPECTATIONS MET AND EXCEEDED. I ended up needing a couple last minute items after this order was finalized. I checked to see if the initial order had shipped - he confirmed it did, provided tracking, and INVITED ME TO ADD MY LAST MINUTE ITEMS DESPITE THEIR VALUE BEING SIGNIFICANTLY UNDER THE $100 MINIMUM - What an absolute gentleman
Yeah, this review could have been much shorter, but it would be a disservice to Armani, as well as the members of this forum, if I didn’t express with adequate diligence the joys of working with a true professional. Bless you Armani - I bend my pre-arthritic knee in fealty to you.
