1st post and it’s a long one! I want to make sure that I provide all pertinent information. 49 yr old male, 6’3”, 235 lbs, 12% bf. I normally sit around 8-9% bf and weigh 225 lbs - more on that later. Been on TRT since 2010 @ 200mg/week. I’ve dabbled with sarms and some peptides a few times but nothing else. I’ve trained consistently since I was 20. I’ve always trained as a strength athlete and I powerlifted until I was in my early 40s. I switched to CrossFit at that time b/c I knew that powerlifting wasn’t good long term. Plus, I really enjoy the competitive atmosphere of CF.

Back in may i had a complete pectoral tendon rupture that required surgery to repair. That was an extremely painful injury. My pec was balled up in my chest and it looked I had a very large implant. After surgery, I continued to do CF workouts and scaled the movements to work for me. After a month or 2 in PT, I began going to a regular gym 3 days a week to work on range of motion and to try to build back some of the muscle that I had lost due to inactivity on that side. I added in extra calories to ensure that my body was getting the right nutrients to repair. From this, I have added around 10 lbs.

Fast forward to today. I have been doing a bodybuilding style workout 3-4 days a week and will do a CF WOD 2-3 days a week for extra cardio. I started researching gear that could potentially help me completely recover, build a little muscle, and strengthen my tendons. I landed on this:
350 test split into 2 injections per week
200 mg deca
20 mg anavar on workout days
I plan to run this for 20 weeks. Nutrition is on point as well as ancillaries. Blood work is spotless.

I am keeping the anavar dose relatively low so i can run it for a longer period. From what I’ve read in the studies, low dose anavar will aid in recovery especially in tendons. I am looking to add muscle with this cycle. However, I do want to keep the dosages on the lower side to mitigate sides.

Here’s where I am looking for advice. Is 200 mg deca enough? Should I bump the deca dose to 300? Also, I thought about adding super low tren ace at the end of the cycle (weeks 20-24ish) for 4-6 weeks alongside cardarine, methylene blue, and slu-pp-332 to drop my bf back into single digits. Thoughts on this?

I don't see anything wrong with your cycle as it's written. I wouldn't increase the nandrolone. Low and slow.

I wouldn't take the tren ace though, you're a little green for it. Also, you'll be on a long estered 19-nor already so adding another 19-nor might not agree with you, and the deca will be in your system for a while.

Otherwise I'd say if you can afford it, run the methylene blue and SLU the whole time, with 1mg daily of MOTS-C if you can. I'm doing that now and it's working wonderfully.

You might not wanna bank on that at 49, and not knowing what Nandrolone does to your lipids yet. I admit the caution might be unnecessary but Id be getting multiple bloods pulled during this at that age I suppose. I think it's a bit ambitious for a first cycle at your age.. Could be a rager tho!

Yeah I decided to pull the trigger. I'm doing a "mock prep" just dieting and trying things out for when it's game time in a few months. I needed a minicut anyway.

Currently the only AAS is 300mg test cyp. Otherwise it's:
5mg methylene blue in the am, pre fasted cardio.
250mcg slu-pp-332 2x a day, once fasted cardio and once pre weight training.
1mg MOTS-C pre fasted cardio.
12mg injectable sr9009 (.3cc of a 40mg/ml concentration) pre fasted cardio.

I've already dropped from a high of 203lbs three weeks ago to a new low of 189lbs yesterday morning. Pretty promising stuff. Glutes are already getting shredded and all my ab veins are back. Just a little fat lefton the lower back and I'll back off.

Soon to include 100mcg retatrutide as well just to see what it can do microdosed.

I had a client in a recomp using reta, Slu and MB and I’m feeding him over 600 carbs a day and he’s down from 230 to 216 we pulled the reta bc foods high and will possibly pull the slu and mb if he keeps dropping.

How much reta?

Like I said, I am soon adding in 100mcg daily and will likely titrate that up to see how it does.

Dang I think I might give in to the hype after a bit more research. No Stenabolic for me, but sounds like a spring cut up might be the play here, Thanks for the info you and jfrost put out about it.

Any sleep issues with the sr9009? I can’t seem to get it out of my head that it’ll have a detrimental effect on sleep since it works on circadian rhythm regulation

Peter Attia has some great information. I'm a fan of his.

As far as the sr9009, I haven't noticed much one way or the other tbh. Maybe I'll increase the dose to 16mg and see if it's any more effective. No issues so far though.
