Workout schedule

What’s your workout schedule like? I usually workout 4 days straight take a day off workout and another day off. Then right back into 4 straight. (4on 1 off 1 on 1off)

I notice my day for I’m pretty fatigued and sore and it affects the workouts. So my question is if anyone has a different schedule that’s has been optimal?

I workout m/w/t/f sand sometimes Saturday if my nephew goads me into it lol... It's definitely not the gym making me tired and fatigued though, that's just life and being old lol.

Day 1- push
Day 2- pull
Day 3- legs

2 days off

Repeat

This with 1 day off instead has been very popular since at least the sixties. 2 days if you feel you need it, it really depends on the volume in those sessions and the person.
I've also seen John Meadows give a variation of push/pull *day off* legs *day off* repeat.

I noticed when I take a complete day off of any activity I feel rested and refreshed. Before I would run 2 miles on rest days or do some light activity and never felt recovered

I typically go:
Monday Chest/Tri
Tuesday Back/Bi
Wednesday Legs
Thursday Shoulders
Friday Off
Saturday Legs
Sunday Off (or if I feel something needs extra sculpting I’ll hit it)

Fuck I think I might be over doing it then I’m going 6 straight days in a row then taking sundays off I’m working each muscle 2 sometimes 3 times during that week

This works out to a 7 day week so I have a predictable schedule. For cardio I just do a lot of walking and biking for transportation.

After a rest day I feel refreshed and energized. The body part I'm scheduled to work is ready for another beating. I'm older but my recovery rate is still good. I do 2ius of GH and a lot of stretching.
