Honestly doesn’t bother me nearly as much as people using more drugs than they need for their size. This guy is living in an absolute shit hole and he seems like he genuinely loves the way his (fake) muscles look. Lost his mom and dad at a young age, brother committed suicide, obviously he’s going to be mentally unhealthy, and IMO anything that can keep this guys spirits up is a good thing. After going through drug addiction and dealing with ridicule for his thin appearance I can fully understand why these sort of issues would surface. Being reminded that you look unhealthily skinny day in and day out is not good for somebody in an already poor state of mental health. He gets it from the pharmacy and he still works out. I’d say if anything, he’s doing it right for what he has available to him. Chances are he can’t afford the food or AAS needed to grow to that size and synthol is really his only (financial) option in the long term. I don’t think that he sees the muscles as a realistic way to fame and fortune, only that he hopes they open a door for him (which they won’t, but at least he thinks optimistically), and he uses them primarily to attain positive reinforcement from his peers. He mentioned how he loves how people call him things like the hulk or “Schwarzenegger” (Arnold) - he’s seeking positive validation to balance out the damage done by all of the ridicule/negativity he was facing due to his thin structure prior to starting synthol. Now, instead of letting the (inevitable) negativity bother him, he remains positive and the nice comments help to balance things out and keep him in good mental health in comparison to before when he would only get negativity. Not to mention he appears to like the way he looks now, and compared to before when he hated his appearance, that’s great.

Obviously at the end of the day it looks dumb to 99.9% of us, is undeniably reckless, and beyond unhealthy, but if you take a step back and look at where he could/would be without synthol, you would likely see a far more dark and dangerous path.

Just my 2c. I’m sure I’m the minority in sympathizing with the dude and being able to see the positive in what he’s doing.
