I’ve been struggling to figure out BTC. Can anyone send me a link to a basic tutorial and recommend a wallet?

Use cash app it’s super easy, what poeple won’t tell you is you have to put your phone number on the app in personal section first and confirm a text for the Bitcoin part to workI hope you can figure it out, my daughter and I tried once. What a cluster, I’m sure if I could physically help me set it up I’d be good. But I hate exposing my bank account.
Also just YouTube how to buy Bitcoin with cash app the first video that shows up is a good one. You’ll feel dumb like I did once you see how easy it is.I hope you can figure it out, my daughter and I tried once. What a cluster, I’m sure if I could physically help me set it up I’d be good. Jeff. Why do you recommend going with the debit card over the bank transfer? Using a debit card scares me. Just curious. There’s a few things we need to take into consideration. When first getting ur crypto account setup. They (coinbase) set a weekly limit of like 750 when buying with a debit card n I think like 1000 when using a bank transfer. It was a while ago so I don’t really remember exactly how much the limits were. After a few purchases n transactions they start to increase ur limits. I think I’m up to like 50,000 limit now after a few months.
Some debit cards have recently started blocking crypto purchases.
I use coinbase to buy my crypto but then send it to another wallet before sending to source. I use mycelium for my 2nd wallet.
Can either download coinbase App or go to their website.
If u use this link we both get $10 if u purchase $100 https://www.coinbase.com/join/58c1d497ee8ea5023f1b9af5
Just follow the set-up. Will ask for email, name, phone number. Just fill out the info that they ask for. Once u get ur account set-up u will either need to use a debit card or link a bank account. Again just eneter the required info. They will put 3 temporary charges on ur bank/debit account to verify the account. Enter these amounts on the verify page to start using that bank or debit account.
Example I just set up a debit card account to remember the steps. They placed 3 charges 1.00, 1.05, n 1.08 u ignore the 1.00 charge n enter the other 2 (1.05 n 1.08) n now I’m able to buy up to $750 of crypto. Took all of 5-10 minutes.
With debit cards it’s instant buy but with a bank account it can take up to 5 days to receive funds. If u can…go with the debit card.
Next set up 2nd wallet. I use mycelium wallet @ mycelium.com
Again just follow the directions for setting up account like u did with coinbase. Another good wallet is blockchain.info.
So from here u buy bitcoin on coinbase. Once funds clear (instantly if using debit card) u send them to 2nd wallet. If using mycelium wallet click on Receive n it will automatically pull up ur wallet address…looks like a string of random numbers n letters.
(Example: 1F4hfyfdeE7oJyfhjyghjyfhgthyJKL- not an actual wallet address)
Copy the address. Go back to coinbase> under accounts tab> select bitcoin> then send (top right hand corner looks like a paper airplane). Paste the wallet address into address line. Enter amount in USD tab (add about an extra $15-20 to cover any fees) then hit continue. It will take about 30 min to send to ur mycelium wallet. Once transaction completes n funds r available ur going to use mycelium wallet to send to the sources wallet this time. Steps r almost exactly identical to sending from coinbase to mycelium wallet as sending to sources wallet.
This probably makes it sound more complicated than it really is. There’s all kinds of tutorials on YouTube n all over the internet.
Here’s a few videos/articles can just Google it to find more…

They both have their pros n cons. Debit card is instant. Whats there to be afraid of? If ur using bank transfer they already have all ur info. Not like using debit card is magically going to tell them more.Jeffg353" pid='10454' dateline='1524975338:

I only use a debit card to get cash out. I have heard too many horror stories of people using their debit cards to buy stuff, and then the account gets wiped. Anyway, I see your point as far as the debit is right now while you have to wait a few days for a transfer.halfjack" pid='11256' dateline='1525365538:

However if using bank transfer u can put it into ur USD wallet n don’t have to worry about any price fluctuations while it clears. That’s the negative about using bank transfer is it takes a few days to process.
In that aspect I can see ur point. My bank notifies me of any purchases so if my card numbers get stolen I know immediately. They also refend me of any fraudulent charges.Jeffg353" pid='11309' dateline='1525383079:
