We canāt argue this here in Kitties thread, for respect for Kits4Less butā¦
Time Under Tension has already been eliminated from hypertrophy.
For slow eccentrics to be worthwhile, you need a spotter to help lift the concentric since the load needs to be greater on the eccentric than the concentric (your maximum concentric rep is only about 80% of what you can handle on the eccentric).
Data also shows that performing a concentric rep slow has zero additional benefit compared to performing a normal concentric rep. In fact, performing a more explosive, accelerated concentric with a lighter weight has more benefit than a deliberately slow concentric.
What works for him, isnāt supported by science. If we want to discuss, we can start a separate thread to
fight it out discuss.
