How much $ should you account for when sending payment?

How do you guys account for fees when buying off coinbase and sending to a source? Is there like a general rule of thumb to see how much extra to send/buy?

I would recommend to have 15-$20 extra to be safe from coins dropping or fees. And if that ends up to be extra, you can save it and wait for it to go up, or spend it on something cheap that you want from the source.

Bitcoin fees have dropped since last weekend. However look into Litecoin or Etherum their fees r usually much lower n transactions r processed a lot faster.

I added up the cost of everything I’ll need and then added $100 more. Whatever is leftover I either cash out or hold onto as coin depending on the fees and write it off as “investing”. Definitely don’t want to not have enough coin on hand when it’s time to move money.
