High Estrogen (107)

Hi Everyone,

I was posting a lot about a month ago in preparation for my first cycle. Hey to any returning contributors.

I am 21 and I was looking to start cycling because I have low T symptoms and always came up on the low end around 325 in blood tests.

However, I decided to pay my new GP a visit and go over the whole ordeal before starting. To my surprise, he was very open to TRT. We did some blood tests. My liver enzymes came up elevated, but that’s due to cystic fibrosis. Surprisingly, my test levels had risen to 550. Perhaps even more surprising were my estrogen levels at 71.

I repeated the test about a week later and my liver enzymes lowered (thanks to a medication). My test also lowered to 450 and my estrogen ROSE to 107. I’m concerned about the high estro and he’ll probably be sending me to an endocrinologist soon.

I also still want to begin cycling once these issues are resolved or accounted for.

What do you guys think?

I think it’d be irresponsible to go about this without proper guidance from a physician.

Cystic fibrosis can affect the liver, and liver is where androgen and estrogen clearence takes place.

You know, hepatocellular adenomas is a side effect of AAS…and with your condition, the risk is probably much greater.

Thanks for the reply harry. I actually wasn’t aware that the liver was where estrogen clearance takes place, but now it seems obvious. Perhaps the two are related. I’ll definitely be holding off until I see my GP again and an endocrinologist.

By the way, I was asked to get an ultrasound of my liver due to the high numbers. Thankfully the report turned out fine, unremarkable. My AST and ALT are now down to 70 and 40 (I forget which order). Hopefully they continue to decline
