HGH - At what dosage is berberine/metformin required?

I am new to HGH and not clear yet on exactly why berberine and metformin are used. I think it is to manage blood gasses and blood sugar?

At what dosage of HGH is it necessary to start taking berberine or metformin? Is it dependent on some value I can get checked with blood work?

I was thinking of running a cycle of HGH increasing from 4IU up to 8IU per day. Will I need to add in either berberine or metformin?

I don’t think anyone will be able to accurately answer that off the information you provided.

To answer the first part of your question yes it’s to mitigate the effects of higher blood glucose people sometimes see with hgh useage. However metformin has been shown to lower IGF levels which may be counterproductive to even taking it at a higher dose.

Some people do not need to use these, and some people do. What I would do
Is buy yourself a blood glucose reader do a fasted reading of your BG now (wait about 20 mins after waking and drink some water before) everyday for around a week. Then keep that information, compare it with the readings you get as you dose the GH to see if your getting elevated BG or not. Don’t go day to day use several days and average them out to get a better idea of where you’re at.

It's used to keep up insulin sensitivity.
I use berberine in conjunction with high intake of carbs while taking hgh. When Im on a cut and very low carb, but still taking hgh, I don't waste my berberine. I don't take metformin because berberine is shown to work better or as well, and there's a chance for stomach issues with metformin. I use Suppressor Max from 1st detachment, as it has other ingredients that make the uptake of berberine best on the market

You seem pretty insulin sensitive and 100 fasting BG isn't bad on GH.

200 mg dihydroberberine a day wouldn't hurt, maybe to get those fasting numbers closer to 90 or less. There are studies showing a correlation between fasting blood glucose and cognitive measures. Here are some: 1 & 2.

Did you take berberine with every meal or did you do am/pm or what? What did your dosing schedule look like for it?

At 10IU I don't and have never needed it. Just depends on your own diet, training, overall health, etc etc.

Do you measure fasted bg in the morning?
The dawn effect always fucks my morning numbers so I always just do 2 hours postprandial (2 hours after I -start- eating) on my first meal of the day. It averages about 90 at 2 IU and 90 at 10 IU as well. The blood sugar thing has reached almost a mythical level and only applies to people who have trouble managing glucose to begin with.

I'm type-2 diabetic, my fasting glucose never goes over 96 on GH at 4iu.

I do tend to run Lantus off and on, that gets my bg down to 75. For berberine I'd take it with a high-carb meal, I tend to use GDAs so I dose it as they label it.

thats a relief i was getting concerned
Just track it for a couple of weeks and ensure it doesn't climb. I recommend doing 2 hours post-prandial (2 hours after you BEGIN eating). Popping a berberine in the evening, especially on the days where you over-eat or do high carbs, is a good call.

Are you taking 10iu in one dosage? Or splitting it throughout your day?

I just hopped on GH for the first time
