HCG SubQ incident

Hey guys, I had an unusual incident last night.. while doing my hcg injection with a .5” slim in my usual spot (love handles) I must have hit a blood vessel. I was under the impression aspiration isn’t necessary with subq. I felt the pain was a little more than usual but injected anyway :( after removing the needle there was noticeably more blood than usual. Shortly after I felt a small lump at the injection site and began massaging it. My heart rate spiked and I started feeling extremely dizzy and began sweating through my clothes. I came to passed out on the floor (max of 30 seconds I’d guess)

Any ideas what happened? What can I do to avoid this in the future? Aspirate?

Normally there is no bump after my subq injection, why this time?

I would first of all:

1) Relax. You would have to inject roughly 5 mL/KG air into a vein to cause an embolism. You’re likely just panicking, which is totally understandable.

No need to aspirate subQ injections. I don’t even aspirate my IM injections.

Just try to be a little more careful next time. Pinch the skin to isolate the fat and try to inject subQ into your flute or some other fatty area. I find the stomach to be the worst area to inject.

I think you got worked up and ended up passing out. Just relax calm yourself if that happens. Maybe you pushed the end on the needle into the skin and it went deeper and hit a vessel. At any rate, you’ll be fine bro.
