Long time power lifter and have used many compounds mainly B/C test and a currently on TRT dose. Decided to retire from PL to chase a new sport in Muay Thai. I’m 32 y/o and was tired of the aches pains and injuries that come with PL as well as the lack of cardio/endurance. Recently decided to take the plunge and ordered 2 black tops kits from Opti. Planning on ramping up from 2iu -3.5iu spread out among 7ish weeks and run 3.5-4iu for a total 30 weeks. My goal is to increase lean-ness currently around 11-12%bf and really just quality of life improvements and injury recovery/aches and pains. Been monitoring BG fasted and after meals (diet is very consistent) usually at 90 fasted and never above 150 30min after a meal it also drops back to fasted level before the 2hr mark. Was going to ask for suggestions as far as times to pin. I usually wake up at 530am and am out for a run/sprint/bike by 6am and am eating a carbs breakfast around 7-720. From there on meals are spread 2-3hrs apart. I then usually have Muay Thai training at 7-8pm and try to be in bed by 1030-1100. Will be doing my best to split all doses into 2 shots. Have heard benefits of doing so before fasted cardio. So morning shot before my runs and then second shot before Muay Thai. Any suggestions on this timing? Anything to add or change? Thank you for all advice.

One shot before bed. No need to split those amounts in multiple shots.

You would need to inject it sub q 3-4 hours before your cardio to actually see any effect from that. Just shoot it before bed and whatever is left active in your system will be sufficient for your morning cardio. I also don’t see any benefit taking it before your Muay Thai.

The stuff is not that nuanced. At those doses, just get it in and your good.

Just get it in ya, buddy. I prefer AM dosing on empty stomach followed by training and cardio but remaining lean and the skin/collagen gains are my main reasons for using it.

it sounds like for your goals I would do an every other night bolus injection. So like I would start you out with 4iu every other night before bed for the first two weeks and then go to 6iu for a week or two and then 8iu every other night for a while.

I would have you stay at that dosage for a few months while you notice the changes and effects. After you have a good feel for how it affects you, you will likely want to up the dosage a little based on the goals you mentioned. The every other night bolus injections are a fairly new protocol that has caught some steam recently on other forums.

Like I said earlier though, for my goals (anti-aging, leanness and collagen production) the 3-5iu injections early AM and daily are the best way to go that I’ve found. And over the last decade I have tried just about every protocol with the stuff.
I don’t think I’ve ever exceeded 8iu daily. My sweet spot is about 4iu for my goals.

* if fat loss/leanness was my only goal I would do twice daily injections of 2iu. First thing AM for first injection and the 2nd injection would be about 4 hours later post workout but still fasted. I got totally shredded doing that protocol for a few months.

Oh I’m not sure what impression I gave above but those are literally my same goals. Injury reduction and shedding body fat as well as the quality of life. I feel older than I should at 32 lol

Based on my experience working with various athletes, I’ve observed that administering the full dose before bedtime, even at higher amounts, tends to have minimal impact on blood glucose levels. I believe this effect is influenced by the natural fasting state that occurs overnight.

Continue to monitor blood glucose levels closely and keep in mind that a dosage range of 3-4 IU is generally considered a "quality of life" range. This amount can often be maintained over extended periods, with some individuals even opting to use it continuously.

Don’t over complicate it just make sure you take it consistently. I’ve worked with multiple coaches and all of them had a different way to use it and I never really seen a dramatic difference. I’ve done it pre bed, pre workout, one bolus dose, spit multiple times a day, etc. currently doing 10iu split across 3 doses (am, IM post workout, pre bed).

😂 I pin on average 8-10xday sometimes more between gh, aas, insulin, peptides and fat burners and soon to be more bc I’m starting a igf/mfg protocol. If you’re worried about a little insulin needle don’t try to be a high level bodybuilder.

You should be happy with your proposed dosing and good that you have been monitoring blood glucose. I’ve found personally 2iu before bed and 1.5iu early AM ~1.5-2 hours pre workout is the sweet spot for me and have seen good body composition improvement from this approach.

Would consider adding in some berberine as well as a preventative measure around insulin sensitivity. I’ve been doing 1 NOW Foods berberine softgel first thing in the AM, 30 mins before my highest carb meal, and before bed.

Only other thing to keep in mind is to monitor your thyroid periodically since GH will increase conversion of T4 -> T3, but at your dosing assuming your thyroid is healthy, shouldn’t cause an issue.

Enjoy the ride, you’ll definitely start to see an impact!

What do you use off season?
Test, mast, primo, gh and insulin. Sometimes I’ll throw in some npp or sprinkle in some adrol hear and there through out the cycle to avoid the appetite suppression from liver toxicity. When I say sprinkle in I run 12-14 days max but it may be 2-3x over a 16-20 week cycle and I don’t think I’ve ever ran over a 20 week cycle other than 2 yrs ago when my show got pushed back a bit.

I was 254lbs at this show a month ago.
