Back Pain

Well boys I made a post about my herniated disk 6 months ago (injury was 9 months ago) and thought it was healed. Had been slowly working back up to 405x5 deadlift. Went up smoothly, took the weights off fine and set up my power rack to shrug 135 lbs and immediately felt that recognizable pain as soon as I lifted up to shrug. Must of been tight from the deadlifts and didn’t think I’d need perfect form to rackpull 135. Had to get my girlfriend to help put on socks this morning because the pain was so bad. Luckily my boss didn’t fire me from my manual labor job and is lettting me supervise. Just started a test tren HGH blast too. Time to continue this new year blast and get giant forearms watching porn. Stay safe, always warm up, always good form.

Wish you the best brother, I’ve delt with my fair share of injuries over the years. Hope you have a quick recovery!

Look into Elliott Hulse on Youtube and check out his postural corrective videos because often a disc issue is the result of poor posture/incorrect biomechanics during a movement. Give your posture a check and see what might be wrong. Probably anterior pelvic tilt issues as this is fairly common among weight lifters.
Also check out the video on Athlean-X about fixing a herniated disc on your own. I believe his advice basically boiled down to hanging limp from a bar until it pops things back into proper alignment but still worth a watch. If nothing else, the education from both sources might help you prevent further injuries and if postural corrective work is required then you should see legitimate strength increases from simply being aligned properly once you’ve gotten to that point.
Source- I’ve had so many god damn pelvic/hip/low back issues from non-lifting related incidents and honestly watching a few guys on Youtube changed my life. Correcting my posture has done wonders for everything and now I’ve been in proper alignment for years after being fucked up for many more prior. Made squats and deads so much easier and the weight shot up fairly fast as a result.

Check out Dr Stuart McGill. He has a great book about how to asses and manage a back injury. I did the same thing, herniated a disc back in June prepping for a PL meet Just did another meet at the end of October and the injury is basically healed unless I do something really weird or with aweful form.
